It never feels like the bathroom has enough storage space. No matter how many closets, cabinets, and bathroom shelves for organizing all your essentials you have in this space, it just feels like

 you could use another one. It's also helpful to improve your usage of the entire area, such as making the most of the space above the toilet or inside cabinets. One of the problems with 

bathroom storage is the odd shape and size of things you use in your personal care. For hair care products, some of these odd-shaped items are things like hair dryers, crimpers, and curling irons.

A great DIY hack to store things like this is to use some segments of PVC pipe you may have left over from other projects. The round PVC, depending on the diameter, can hold the cylindrical 

shapes of the hair care items securely. You could use PVC to create a freestanding holder for the hair dryer and curling iron that sits on top of the vanity counter or a holder that you attach to the

inside of the cabinet.

Curling irons and hand-held dryers are not only awkwardly shaped, but they also have long electrical cords that always seem to be in the way, hanging out of drawers and cabinets when you're 

trying to store these items neatly. The PVC pipe hack also works to keep the cords in check, holding them securely and ensuring they aren't tangled the next time you need them.

How to create a curling iron and hair dryer holder out of PVC pipe

To use this hack, start by determining the proper diameter and length of PVC you need. Curling irons usually need about 1.5-inch diameter pipes, while hair dryers need about 3-inch pipes. 

However, you should always measure the size of your hair care products to determine the exact diameter to use. The length of pipe to use should roughly match the length of the curling iron

 or hair dryer segment up to the handle. Because the PVC is open on both ends, the wider part of these hair care products, such as near the handle, will prevent them from falling all the way through.

To hang the PVC pipe inside a side of the cabinet or to the interior of the cabinet door, attach hook-and-loop tape fabric to the pipe and to the interior door or side. Don't use too much force when

 inserting the items into the pipes, and the hook-and-loop tape fabric should hold. Next to the larger piece of PVC, add a tiny piece to hold the electrical cord. Wrap the cord in a loop and place it

 into the PVC, where tension from the loop should hold it in place.

For a freestanding design, use a Y-shaped piece of PVC. The larger vertical segment works for the hair dryer, while the narrower angled segment that creates the Y shape holds the curling iron. Paint

 it to make it look nicer.
